This has been a very busy month! Madelyn had her first piano recital and did just great. We are so proud of her. She played "Jolly Ole Saint Nick" and "Away in a Manger." We had a nice Christmas with all of our family. I was even surprised this year. Jason bought presents for the girls and me without me even knowing. It was so fun to see him so excited and proud of himself for surprising us. We then headed up north to my parents cabin for some fun in the snow for a few days! Back to reality!
Sunday was Jason's birthday and we started the celebration on Saturday night with a birthday dinner with family. He made the best beef tenderloin ever. Then on Sunday he went to the Cardinals game and the girls and I went and tailgated before the game with him. It was actually pretty fun. I am not really a football fan, but that game was great. The girls loved playing been bag toss and Madelyn brought her soccer ball to keep her (and anyone who would kick with her) busy. As he says "This was the best birthday ever."
My computer has been "out of order" from a virus so here are some highlights from the past couple of months. Madelyn started first grade. She is so grown up. I amazed at her progress everyday. Sara started at a new school and is now at Phoenix Children's Academy and doing great there. We had a Strawberry Shortcake 4th birthday party for her at her favorite place, Peter Piper Pizza. Madelyn started playing soccer and these are some pictures of her first game. She was so nervous at first, but she is catching on just fine.
Jason and I met at Paradise Valley High School softmore year. We were good friends and began dating the end of our Junior year. We have shared so many firsts together and have been there for each other through so many changes in our lives. We have been married for almost ten years and look forward to many more years of love, happiness, and fun! We have been blessed with two beautiful and amazing girls, Madelyn and Sara. They keep us laughing (and crying) and remind us everyday how lucky we are to be their Mom and Dad.
