Jason and I went to Napa for the first time for our 12th anniversary. He is not a wine drinker (or was not) but he kept up with me pretty good. It was so beautiful and relaxing. We learned so much and met some great people.
I bought this dessert wine at the Andretti winery. Yum!!! This was our favorite one. It was called Silverado. It was up on a hill over looking the vineyareds. It almost looks fake it was so pretty. This is where Jason bought his first bottle of wine. He has good taste! It was a reserve wine that was 90$!!!!!!!!!!! You only live once, right? This was an amazing Italian Castle winery. Everything was brought over from Italy, even the employees:) It took 15 years to build. Queen for a day! After all that wine he demanded some beer:) Our friends live 45 minutes from Napa and they came up one day to take us around where they were members. We got the star treatment. Cheers! Then we headed to San Fran where we went for our honeymoon. Can't believe it has been 12 years since we were here! Union Square. Lots of great shopping and eats! Self portrait at a night club. It was fun to be in another city dancing with no curfew:)
This is the Palace of Fine Arts. Absolutely beautiful place. We decided next trip to San Fran is with the kids. We so enjoyed our time there, but sure did miss the girls!
March has been CRAZY busy! Sara is growing up so fast. She wrote me this letter the other day and I almost cried. She is going to be in first grade next year. She is getting so independent. Jason took me to Sedona for the day on my birthday. It was a beautiful day. We ate, drank, shopped and took in the views. Silly girls! We had dinner at my parents for my bday. Madelyn "scrapped" a birthday card for me. So value my time with my parents. It is apparent to me that they are getting older as well and I can't take for granted the time we share. I went with Sara on her first field trip. Fun times! Madelyn selling girlscout cookies. Railroad park She was so proud of herself doing the monkey bars all by herself.
We went to the Wild Life Zoo too, but can't get those pics to upload:( The girls kept saying "this is the best day ever." Days like that make all the madness worth it!
I can't believe it is March! Here are some highlights from Feb. We worked very hard with Sara to memorize her line in the assembly at school. She did a great job! I had to work so Jason went and took video and pics. Here are the
girls making valentine sweets out of play-doh. Yum! Below are pics of them on Valentine morning with the See's candy daddy gave them. It was a
tradition every year when I was a little girl from my dad.
Super soccer star Madelyn at her last game of the season. She continues to love it and next year is trying out for the competitive team.
I have not been to Great Skate since probably 8th grade and it has not really changed. I had so many fun times there as a kid. For all of you west siders, I am sure you remember! My nephew turned 7 and what a fun time they all had. Skating backwards, to disco lights and even in the dark. Crazy to experience these things with my girls after all of these years. So fun!!!!!
Jason and I met at Paradise Valley High School softmore year. We were good friends and began dating the end of our Junior year. We have shared so many firsts together and have been there for each other through so many changes in our lives. We have been married for almost ten years and look forward to many more years of love, happiness, and fun! We have been blessed with two beautiful and amazing girls, Madelyn and Sara. They keep us laughing (and crying) and remind us everyday how lucky we are to be their Mom and Dad.
